A caring heart is the very root of the success of the
Making A Difference Heart to Heart consulting group located in Lafayette,
Louisiana. Healthcare leadership, staff, sponsors and consumers
believe that women have the greatest effect on the end-result of
every community's healthcare decisions today and for future generations.
Being chosen to contribute to the success of this mission provides
me with, again, another opportunity to enhance, improve, and maintain
the health and quality of life of all women today, a truism to which
we all subscribe. Our group is made up of two women who are, mothers,
daughters, sisters, best friends, and wives who understand the unique

as a health care provider, and as a believer in the importance of
our mission and program I have found a way to care for somebody
else - what a wonderful way to succeed.

I thought the preceptorship provided
a terrific insight to how a programmatic approach to cardiovascular
care in women benefits hospitals, practitioners, and, most importantly,
patients. Women's lives are more complicated today and packaging
this type of program eliminates some of the barriers that may limit
accessibility for many women patients. Also, the development of
site specific projection data makes "selling" the program to administrators
easier.
